ReadCube Web App URL Update (March 2026)

1 min read

We’re updating the ReadCube web application URL from: newapp.readcube.com → app.readcube.com

This change will take place during the week of April 20th, 2026.

Over the past 18 months, all users have been transitioned to our updated web application. As a final step, we’re moving the app back to our primary domain.

Automatic redirects will be in place, so existing links and bookmarks will continue to work as expected.

This article outlines a few areas IT and admin teams may want to review to ensure everything continues running smoothly.

What to expect for users

For most users, no action is required.

Access via:

  • bookmarks
  • shared links (email, Slack, documents)
  • internal portals (e.g., SharePoint, wiki pages)

will continue to work through automatic redirects.

Configurations to review

If your organization manages access through domain-based rules or internal tooling, we recommend reviewing the following areas.

1. Firewall and security allowlists

If access is restricted to specific domains, you may need to update your allowlist.

What to check:

  • Ensure app.readcube.com is allowed
  • Update any rules that reference only newapp.readcube.com

2. Monitoring and alerting tools

If you use monitoring tools that reference the current domain, some rules may need to be updated after the transition.

Examples include:

  • Datadog
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Splunk

What to check:

  • Any alerts, dashboards, or queries tied to newapp.readcube.com
  • Update them to reference app.readcube.com

3. Internal automations or scripts

If you have internal workflows that depend on the ReadCube domain, they may need to be updated.

Examples:

  • Login or access tracking
  • Usage logging
  • Custom scripts or integrations

What to check:

  • Replace references to newapp.readcube.com with app.readcube.com
